The Greatest Race: A Reparations Wager
What if a footrace between the two greatest runners in the history of
mankind—one Black, one White—racing for their respective halves of
earth’s populations resulted in the losing half being placed into financial
enslavement along the Black/White color line?
It’s the year 2028 and The Greatest Race is on. Billy “Skeets” Jessup, an African American billionaire promoter, conceived of the idea to stage a worldwide series of races on all seven continents at the Bilderberg Conference of 2026, an invitation only event of the richest, most powerful, and influential people in the world rumored to be the Illuminati. Skeets has a Machiavellian personality, and he manipulates the most powerful people in the world’s governments and their populations into supporting The Greatest Race. Skeets manipulated the agreement of the two greatest runners in the history of mankind, Henry Schwarzenburd IV, Quad, the white sprinter from Australia, and DeLonnio Dallitts, Square, the Black middle-distance runner from Detroit. Neither had lost a race in seven years and lowered their own world records whenever they ran. Quad races to set things right for White Australians (and by extension, worldwide White grievance). Square races for REPARATIONS for African Americans (and by extension, people of color worldwide).
Winifred A. Chance is an African American writer hired by Skeets to chronicle the
Greatest Race. However, Chance is secretly working for a shadowy organization named HEED who has charged him with finding a way to stop the completion of The Greatest Race and receive a $10 million payout.
The Greatest Race is a near future, dystopian adventure exploring the convergence of race, DNA, climate change, AI, world financial systems, technological advances, and a raging cannabis industry all within a society totally enraptured with gambling. The Greatest Race asks the questions: Is this the greatest race in the history of mankind? Will this race decide which race is the greatest?
